BENEFACTOR REPORT
Paul Farmer MD ’88 PhD ’90 Memorial Scholarship
George Q. Daley, MD, PhD
I write today to thank you for your generous commitment to financial aid at Harvard Medical School through your support of the Paul Farmer, MD ’88 PhD ’90 Memorial Scholarship Fund. I’m pleased to share a profile of this year’s recipient, John Jachimiak, a Pathways student in the Class of 2028 whose commitment to health equity is reflected in his care and advocacy for patients experiencing homelessness.
Our financial aid program is an embodiment of our core belief that cost should never be a barrier to attending Harvard Medical School. Your support of the Paul Farmer Scholarship Fund is a powerful expression of this commitment.
Even in a challenging financial environment, HMS remains steadfast in our commitments to financial aid and health equity. With your partnership, we can continue prioritizing access and opportunity for outstanding students, including those interested in advancing equitable access to high-quality care.
As you know, financial aid does more than ease financial pressure—it enables our students to fully engage in their education, research, and clinical experiences, and to pursue careers guided by impact and service rather than by financial constraints. Thank you both for your steadfast support of this fund, which stands as one of the many ways you continue to strengthen HMS.
Dear Eric and Anne,
Sincerely,
George Q. Daley, MD, PhD
