Established in 2014, the Quadrangle Fund for Advancing and Seeding Translational Research (Q-FASTR) accelerates early-stage research with potential for commercialization and improved health. Q-FASTR links basic discoveries to new therapies by providing funding, project support, and skills development.

Nearly half of Quad labs now seek Q-FASTR backing, fueling a strong culture of therapeutic invention at HMS and helping propel the Therapeutics Initiative forward. Each year, Q-FASTR supports approximately a dozen principal investigators, including Dr. David Corey and Dr. Arlene Sharpe, whose teams are advancing gene therapies for hereditary deafness and autoimmune disease, respectively.
